Julia Balakina is a psychology graduate of St. Petersburg State University. After an initial four-year experience as a university psychologist, she was assigned in 1992 by BusinessLink St. Petersburg to create from scratch a personnel search department within this consulting company. Under Julia’s management BusinessLink Personnel became one of the most successful recruitment agencies in this country. Between 1994 and 1996 Julia worked in Moscow as an HR Manager with Wrigley, Russia.

Starting from1996 Julia Balakina has been a Partner of CONSORT Consulting Group. She acts as Operations and Business Development Director as well as a new projects leader.

Internationally, she holds the positions of IESF Representative in Russia/CIS and the Federation’s International Expert for FMCG Practice.

Since 2002 Julia has several times (including 2010) been ranked among Russia’s Top 200 professionals in the ‘Commercial Director’ nomination.

The first successful search of a top-manager for the well-known multinational corporation was performed by CONSORT Group consultants in 1993. By the time both our clients and competitors paid serious attention to who we are and what we do, we have successfully completed over 150 executive search assignments. Besides the searches in Moscow and St Petersburg, Consort ES has carried out a number of complex regional and interregional projects.
